We have been learning about what yeast does to different ingredients. On Monday the Hoiho and the Kea reading groups went to the Workshop and made loaves of bread.
Later in the day our whole class went over to the Workshop and we worked together to make a loaf of bread. We got to see what the loaf looked like when it was just mixed and what it looked like when it had a chance to sit in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours to rise.
In the afternoon we baked our bread and it smelled delicious.
